European energy technology fair, POWER GEN 2014, in Cologne, and at the International Tug, Salvage & OSV Convention in Hamburg
SGF presents product innovations at international trade fairs for energy and marine technology.
Experts from the field of energy production meet each year at PowerGen Europe to exhibit their range of services and their new developments in this area. June 3-6, 2014 in Cologne: At its own booth, SGF very successfully presented a wide range of elastic, temperature resistant couplings for transmitting torque and vibration damping, used in energy and power station technology.
The focal point was TENBEX-ECO, which, like all couplings from SGF, demonstrates a very high torque capacity with a low weight due to its traction-based design principle. The torque range a TENBEX-ECO can cover in GenSet applications starts at 5,500 Nm and, for this product family, ends at 400,000 Nm. The international trade audience received the SGF link couplings with great interest.
Taking up position in its own booth once more, Süddeutsche Gelenkscheibenfabrik used the International Tug, Salvage & OSV Convention and Exhibition, held at the Congress Center in Hamburg from 16-20 June, to present its marine application products. Every two years, experts from the field of service vessels come together at the ITS (International Tug, Salvage & OSV Convention) to discuss current developments in the shipping industry during the conference and accompanying trade show.
In addition to the presentation of TENBEX-ECO traction-based link couplings, the Head of SGF R & D, Dipl. Ing Joachim Reihle explained in his lecture to congress participants –"Cord-Reinforced Flexible Link Rotational Coupling Technology Offers A Solution For Conflicting Design Goals"– the ways to solve layout conflicts in the design of drives through the use of traction-based flexible couplings.
