Groundbreaking for the new SGF2020 construction project

The SGF company starts a million project with a ceremony

After several months of planning, the celebratory groundbreaking ceremony on
February 19th 2015 marked the start of the plant expansion. Shareholders and management, together with representatives from state and regional politics, commemorated this milestone in the company's history.

With a total investment of 30 million EUR, the shareholders of SGF have witnessed the largest investment in the company's history, thus providing an important foundation for the future of SGF. This is a clear commitment to the Bavarian headquarters and for securing jobs in Waldkraiburg.

It concerns a plant expansion of an existing facility in Waldkraiburg. In addition, the two Bavarian locations will be merged. An additional production area of about 5,000 m² will be created after finishing the existing production hall. Another key element is a fully automated high-bay warehouse that will, with approximately 22 meters, become the tallest building and cover an area of 1,350 m².

In a modern production and logistics environment, SGF is changing its corporate organization in production and logistics with the goal of an even closer integration of expertise where value creation is located. In addition, working conditions which take the age structure of the employees in the company into account will be created.

The SGF company would like to thank everybody who helped make this project possible!

Thanks also go to the Zeidler Foundation for the sale of the land on which part of the new building is being built.
