SGF couplings are excellently suited for deployment in the area of energy generation. They can be installed both in power plants on land and in electricity generating plants on ships. Due to their compact dimensions and low power to weight ratio, SGF couplings are particularly simple to maintain. Even during an overhaul, no large or heavy components need to be moved, since all wear parts in the coupling are very easily accessible from outside and can be replaced without removing the coupling. This means that it is possible to adjust the coupling stiffness without major effort even after the coupling is installed, for example because of vibration engineering requirements.
